Rebecca’s Paws and Claws – Remlap is proud to announce that we have been the recipient of a grant from PetSmart Charities. This grant has enabled us to spay/neuter and vet several little furbabies in order for us to find them forever homes. We had a litter of Doodles and we able to get all vetting done at one time. Just in time for the National PetSmart Adoption Weekend. Yea, 6 of them found their new families that weekend along with kittens and other puppies. Food, vetting, kennels and habitats need repairing and upkeep takes a lot of dollars and we operate solely on donations. In 2011 Rebecca’s Paws and Claws incorporated into a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are a no-kill rescue. The founders felt a calling to become official defenders of the defenseless. So many animals were being abandoned at kill shelters or dumped on the side of the road. They felt as a rescue it was also a responsibility to reunite lost animals with their families and have reunited several animals with their rightful owners. We run solely off of donations and all donations are tax deductible. RPACI-Remlap also works with the surrounding communities teaching responsible pet ownership and sometimes just to bring some of our kitties and puppies to a school so children can interact with them. It is a win, win...the critters get used to be handled and loved on by kids and the kids learn responsibility of pet ownership. RPACI and the volunteers are grateful to PetSmart Charities enabling us to continue our work.
