10 yrs ago I adopted my sweet boy, Cooper. I got him from RPACI at the PetCo in Trussville on a Saturday when they brought the animals to the store. I paid $125 for him (fixed, all shots, leash, collar, harness, food, toys…unbelievable price) - the runt of the litter that no one wanted. Sharon and her team saved him from the kill shelter. He’s been the best dog I ever had. He loves pepperoni’s, still chases the squirrels and we hike the trails. We have many more years together. I’m so happy to celebrate his 10th birthday and I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that sacrifices their time. He has literally licked tears from my eyes. I just wouldn’t know what to do without him. Thank you to everyone that works here and all you do! I don’t know what my life would look like without him. Best decision I ever made

Happy adoption for Liv. LOiv had been in rescue for many months, but last Saturday, her forever family came for her. She is a wonderful dog that will always have a chunk of my heart. She is shy, but she has a family that loves her and is willing to work through any insecurities. Happy tails Liv. Happy ever after.

I really love all of our adoptions. But sometimes you get special folks who come in looking for a new furbaby, and they are not only looking for the perfect pet but a pet who may really need some help. Today that happened for Dakota. He's an awesome dog but looked over for a long time because he didn't have the perfect face. Dakota was born with alopecia. There was no cure and no treatment. But his furever home came today and he was ready. Thank you for giving Dakota everything. God bless you

Tomorrow, will be one year since I adopted Socks. She went from a terrified little girl who had to be pulled from a crate and physically carried to my vehicle at Pet Smart in Quackertown. She went from being scared of her own shadow, never knew steps, not housetrained, and slept under my bed for almost 2 weeks, to confidence. She still doesn't like people who try to move in on her without her sniffing and giving her a few minutes, a quirk She rescued me. I lost my Gunner, my parents, Bella, 2 uncles, a cousin, my physical freedom, my job of 22 years and trying to figure out where the reset button was. I was not handling it well. It was too much in a short period of time. I learned she was my reset button. She means the absolute world to me. I love spending time with her and coming home to her. She is my velcro lady. She was sent to me from Gunner and Bella. I walk her over to the cemetery to visit my parents (which crushes me every time) and she sniffs my parents graves. She seems to k...
